Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist during procedures as needed. This role requires excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), scaling, and root planing
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Conduct oral cancer screenings and evaluate patients' oral health
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, including brushing and flossing
Document patient care and treatment plans in dental records
Assist the dentist during exams and procedures if necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following infection control protocols
Stay up-to-date with dental hygiene best practices and continuing education
